Expect a reply from RandyD telling you the last "about" is unnecessary. :)

    What a blooper!
Pity I didn't notice it sooner.
In questions here, only the descriptions can be edited.
The only way to correct the question would be to delete and rewrite it.
But that would delete everyone's replies. :/

If yo go back to your question, at the very top above the red line there may be an opportunity to edit it.

Canadians aren’t nearly as nice as they want to pretend they are

Gosh, I've never found that to be the case.
I haven't met many, but I've like each one I happened to meet very much.
Was close flatmates with one for a few years. She was bright and very easy to be around.

They know about us and they know about them but do they know about the now?

For example, my loving and caring Canadians.... you are lovely people.  You truly are...
but do you know what your neighbors really think of you?  Have you looked to see what they are doing?  You better!  You never know.  They may have called the paparazzi to see you bathing!!  Are you houses so close together you can pass the soap through your bathroom windows?  Do you know your destroying bugs are jumping on my roses?  I might sue!  Do you know you always need to be lawyered up?   Are you paranoid you might have a pimple from wearing a face mask and others might see?  Are you worried you won't look like the rest of the others?  Are swimsuits on sale, and what is the newest diet?
Not being a Canadian but always respectful of them and their chosen place to live and lifestyle,
I think they know EXACTLY what is important to them.  They have been quite a delight.
Thank goodness they put up us and laugh at our trivial worries..

    These took me by surprise.
The top one because the melody is quite lovely, when normally I don't enjoy country music.
The lower two because I didn't know that Americans view the Canadians the way the English view the Irish and the French view Belgians. And the Canadians are such good sports about it that they turn the whole theme into their own brand of humour.

Many of our next door neighbors cannot figure out how and why our universal health care system works so much better than private health insurance.

That Canada prevented Russia from getting a foothold in North America during the Cold war. I am glad that Russia did't get in but I am ashamed of my  goverment for how they did it. If you Google - forced Inuit migrachine you will find more info about it. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at May 12, 2020 12:42 PM MDT
