What's wrong with peanut butter by itself? A lot less sugar than jelly.

Why does anything necessarily have to be “wrong” with something that someone dislikes?  People don’t have to justify why they dislike something. You have certain foods you dislike, regardless of whether or not others like them. I doubt you like every food choice available to humankind, so you’re no different than anyone else.

Just not partial to it on its own.  I use sugar-free jam.

I find kale too bitter on it's own,
and onions too sharp when raw.

But when the onions are fried in olive oil and butter
and the kale is added in and braised till soft,
    the combination is delicious.

Add in dry roasted Garam Marsala and pepper
and the result is even better.

     (it’s its own)

I too prefer never to eat raw onions but instead cooked in some way: fried, boiled, sautéed etc. Cooked onions change in flavor to become very sweet, depending on how it’s done.

But I'm never alone when I drink it....my partner is always to hand making me another...

Now come and be sensible for once...who in their right mind would want to be seperated from me when they spent all their time desperatly trying to get their hands on me...:)

I find Miracle Whip horrid even when combined with tuna or used on a sandwich.  Give me good old Hellman's real mayonnaise.

I will not eat mayo of any kind. That is just nasty to me. I can suffer through it if forced by adding just a little mustard. (Also something I do not eat otherwise)
