Here is the entire Last Week Tonight episode where John Oliver made his argument. That comes in the last 5 minutes, but the whole episode is eye-opening, thought-provoking and extremely disturbing.
It would be impossible to live almost anywhere in the world without some kind of overall authority.... The strong would take from everyone weaker and no one would be safe... A police force should be unbiased and have sensible rules to enforce...there must always be ways to relax some of them in cases of emergencies ,no matter what they consist of.... On rule doesn't fit all...
