Don't know D. I know the MARIANAS TRENCH is 7 miles deep and the deepest place on earth about which we know. I think. Could it be somewhere in your country? Please lay it on me/us and tell us. Thank you for your reply!:)

It's called Woodingdean Water Well and it's near Brighton about 66 miles South  of London Rosie.   It's 1,285 feet deep and was started in 1858 and took 4 years to dig. It's also Roofless to I believe...  It was dug to supply water to the po ors workhouse...

I'd never ever be able to work in a mine D or be among those who dug a well deep into the earth. I'm pretty sure I'm claustrophobic. I shudder and cringe if I see a MOVIE with people going down into mines or exploring caves. It's like everything is closing in on me. Just seeing a MOVIE or TV show! So being in a real life situation like that? I can't even imagine that. Same thing with heights! Years ago when Jim was young he worked on a crew that painted the Golden State Bridge. He never had a problem with heights. When my son lived in northern California I'd drive up from Los Angeles to visit and once  I drove across the Golden Gate Bbridge and got the willies. Too deep or too high and I'm not your gal. I wonder why that is? I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee and thine m'dear!

I think that a certain amount of ruthlessness is needed to become extremely successful, but I also think that once that success is reached, one can and should be a benevolent force in the world.  Two of the people I can think of who have achieved much success and are socially charitable are Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.  I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

By my definition of extremely successful, I am. And I am not ruthless.
