What are some situations where finding out about a new pregnancy is NOT good news? ~

Mom is ill. (Cancer or similar)
Dad a bum. 
Dad unknown.
Married to someone else. 
Rape. 
Too old.
Too young. 

When the "old" one hasn't made it to term yet.

 After a weekend of binge drinking?

In my case, any or all situations.

When it's only twins and you were hoping for triplets.

When the combined genes of mother and father guarantee an extreme disability that will cause suffering for all concerned.
When one or both parents are highly likely to die before the kid reaches adulthood and independence.
When one or both parents are drug addicts, have a serious communicable disease, or have a serious mental disorder.
When the country the parents live in suffers severe problems such as long-term drought, mass poverty, starvation and diseases, organised crime, terrorism or war.
When the mother is too young, ie, her pelvis is not yet large enough to safely deliver a child.
When the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.
