For the first time in a months, today I used my laptop to log onto AnswerMug instead of my smartphone. Bigger screen means different features are displayed, one of which being the graphic that I've copied below. This may very well be the third of fourth time since January of 2020 that I have used the laptop. Since I never see or hardly ever see all of these features, I am neither cognizant of them nor do I assign them much importance. Today, I noticed this and it makes me wonder about opinions from any of you who care to chime in, whether or not you use them an if so, in which ways?

Can I get myself a condo near you using credits here?

Hey, wait . . .
Not so, mon ami, it is not a question of me attempting to show off.
First of all, when comparing the total number of credits against those used, the percentage of the latter represents clumsy attempts on my part since the year 2015 to respond in kind to gifts that were bestowed upon me by other members. I posted this question today because someone just sent me yet another such gift, I clicked on it to see what it was, and I found the long list of gifts that have been sent to me since day one. There is a possibility that others amongst the membership know better than I do how to manipulate/manage that feature. Additionally, I posted it due to my lack of understanding as to the point of credits and/ gifts on the first place. Basically, I find the “points” kind of pointless.
I welcome anyone’s useful explanation or clarification for the accumulation of points, that’s all.

Excuse me, but who are you again? I’m not sure we’ve ever met.
Just joking! I just sent you over 163,000 credits, but since I’m using the smartphone, I can’t see either your new total or my new total. Please let me know if you got them.
Love, Randall

I don’t hear anyone, I don’t see anyone, I don’t know if it ever really happened.
