Also, when and where did they take place?

The former when I was planting Christmas trees on a hill just outside my high school, and the latter when I lived in Tucson, AZ.

Hottest: ca 80 degrees centigrade. Driving on an autostrada in Italy.
Coldest: -10 degrees centigrade. Falling through a weak spot in the ice on a lake.

Probably 114 degrees in India, (it regularly gets 100+ in Florida where I live) and -50 at the top of the Matterhorn (even colder if you include windchill).

  • I've been in a sauna at 180F ...  Bearable but nice to get out from also ... Top of a Swiss mountain.. I guess it was below freezing as there was a lot of that white stuff around .. and no, I took the railroad to the top lol

Yes sauna visits will have been the hottes places I've been too. Lol. I've been there several times. Even with temperatures around the -36 F I've experienced. Nothing like running out in the snow naked and take a roll before running back into the sauna again. :-)

  • Not a sauna fan, but I like a nice bubbly hot tub. I'm going to be thinking about naked snow angels this winter.

Thank you, but this relates to weather, not man-made temperatures.  (Sorry I didn't specify in the question; it's not your fault.)

I live Minnesota where winter temperatures can approach -40, not including the windchill factor. We have had summer temperatures of over 100, but I experienced hotter temperatures when I went to the Sahara.
