For me, it's more a matter of hurting my back, so I will opt for bringing my shopping cart with me and loading everything into that for one triip or, if I forget my cart, I will make a second trip.

You have your own shop cart? I don’t have far to go from my driveway to front porch so opt for the overload of bags.

I have one of those folding carts with wheels that I can put in my trunk.  I have about a block and a half to walk from my garage to my building, so I prefer to use it rather than strain an already bad back.

Oh, yeah I’d invest in a shop cart to if I had to go a block carrying groceries. Your arm would fall off god sure :)

You use the cart to take the groceries home?

I load it all into an Uber and get dropped in front of my house.

Shlep the bags up the outside steps to our apartment.

Okay...so what I am asking is do you take one trip from the car carrying  as many bags as possible...or will you make multiple trips to and from the car?

Unload the car to the curb or our front gate, then as many trips as necessary up the steps. It depends on how much stuff we have.

      C) Work out more often so that losing circulation isn’t even a possibility.

Yeah, if too lazy to make two trips to the car probably not going to work out more often.

I live across the street and a block away from a grocery store. So rarely do I need to make two trips, even though I don't drive. So it's convenient for me. Our city has banned single use plastic store bags. I have really good durable reusable bags. I can fit a lot in just two of them. Sometimes a bit heavy, but I'm not going far to go home, thus I'm okay with it.

  • I don't mind the extra walking unless it's a torrential downpour.  At which point my arm is viewed as a sacrificial limb.

I am always willing to sacrifice my limbs to the grocery gawks. Rain or shine I want to do it in one trip.
