Do you have a certain day of the week which you normally do your laundry?

If so, what day? And why?

I live in an apartment building, we have a small room with one washer and one dryer for 12 apartments. I usually do three loads every other Sunday, if available, which it usually is. I do my normal clothes, white socks, and towels/linens making it three loads for that day. If not available I do it the next day on Monday. I just like to start the new week with fresh stuff. Being a single guy, I only need to do to it every two weeks. I at least have enough to last me that time frame.

I am finishing my laundry loads up now, which gave me the idea for the question.

Mon, Wed or Fri when my neighbor is gone.  MY washer shakes the floor, I don't want to disturb him.

    No comma needed after "week."

Sunday. I don't own a dryer, so in wet or cold weather I can take the wet laundry to the local laundromat after dropping the grandkids off at their dad's if they've stayed the weekend, which is frequently the case.

    Sounds like the best plan.

Here you may not take wet clothes into a laundramat and put them into the dryer.  No wash, no dry.  You can wash your stuff and take it home wet.  It's a good rule and a health requirement in most places.

Is it a new rule due to COVID19, or was it already in place prior to that?

Any laundromat trying to pull that kind of stunt in Australia would go broke in nothing flat.

It is no stunt.  Homeless people have their things rained on and used to go and try to dry them.   Only items cleaned in the laundromat can be dried.  That is the way it should be.

In this building, when everybody else is in the bed sleeping. I'm funny that way.

When there is a load, I do it.  Like Zack, it often is in the wee hours after I'm finished with food and anything else that can make a mess.

No, there is no scheduled laundry day.

I do not have a day. Just whenever I have the time. And I see the hamper is full.

Yes, it’s called I’mMarriedDay. My wife doesn’t allow me to touch the laundry chores because I screwed or it up badly once, she said, “Oh, just get out of the way, I’ll do it myself from now on.”  I’m not sure exactly what magic she does with dirty clothes.
At the beginning of our marriage, after weeks and months of beating me severely and threatening my life, she finally taught me to put my dirties in this funny-looking thing called a hamper. Mysteriously, a few days later, my clothes always return to the bedroom closet and/or dresser drawers freshly washed, cozily dried, crisply ironed, neatly folded or hung on hangers, etc. We sort of have a don’t-ask-don’t-tell policy around here as to how it all takes place. Personally, I think she has elves or leprechauns living under the patio furniture or something. I’m just glad I see her make my sandwiches with my own eyes. No telling where those little ones have had their tiny hands.

I thought military types were required to do their own? My brother-in-law, now a retired Warrant Officer, was not permitted to allow his wife to do his ironing - because she didn't do it the Army way.

Sunday, always Sunday. I have big plans every Friday  to get all my house stuff done on Saturday but I always put it off until Sunday, Sunday.
