Wow, seems wasteful and extreme. The liquid that separates and rises to the top might be 1/25th part of the whole, and doesn’t represent that the product has gone bad. If someone is wealthy enough to throw away perfectly good food, though . . .

  Like I stated above, I’m not referring to spoiled food. I’m referring to throwing away food that is not spoiled just because some separation floats to its top.
  Many foods go through that process over time, and it’s not an automatic nor a singular indication of spoilage.
