For those of you who enjoy watching nature-related shows and documentaries, do you root for the prey or for the predators?

I love watching these shows, and intellectually, I know that the predators need to eat too, I know it's nature's laws, but I do have a problem seeing prey being taken down by predators.  What's even worse is when the rest of the herd or the rest of the school of fish, etc., don't jump in and gang up on the predator(s)!  Once again, I know it's all instinctual they way they act and/or react, but if several water buffalo or several seals or several rabbits joined together and took on the lionesses or hyenas or hawks or sharks or wolves, the outcome might be different.  I do celebrate and cheer the prey that successfully gets away, especially when they are already in the jaws of the predators.

This is kind of proof nature sucks through it's pecking order food chain in all species. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at August 22, 2020 3:50 PM MDT

I change the channel also. I know why they show it, I just prefer not to see it.

Sometimes the prey,  sometimes the predator. It depends on which is killing what.
