The toxic waste scene in “RoboCop”, 1987.

When VHS tapes were still a big thing back in the late 1990s, I’d sit there with my kids and watch this movie again and again. We loved rewinding this scene continuously!

Oh!! That’s one of my favourite scenes in a movie all time. We should rewatch that movie sometime, background noise :)

  • I love the Kill Bill movies....probably my favorites of his.  It's a date. Background noise date. With a very worthy soundtrack.

My husband said his parents never laughed at those either, so he thinks his parents probably thought something was wrong with him when he did.

I remembering watching this clip many days ago and my mouth dropped in shock at what the film creators want me to laugh. (I do see potential humor, I guess, but it just looks so real to me, so sudden, and shocking, and I felt so immediately sad and shocked. I certainly didn't laugh.)

I sometimes wonder how I've gotten this far in life, ha! I say something like this, and, yet, SO many of my favorite movies are terribly depressing, sad and / or disturbing. But, hey - - we still have "Airplane!" (I'm unsure if there are any death scenes in that movie; I haven't watched it a lot but it really makes me laugh.)
