Mine was a skateboard.

  • "Shank's Mare" .... Shanksmare definition, one's own legs, especially as a means of moving from one place to another: The only way we can get there is by shanks' mare. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at August 18, 2017 5:53 AM MDT

  • Feet, bicycle, bus, bumming rides off others.  I actually started taking the car out before I had my drivers license.

Walking or bus, occasionally train. My first powered vehicle was a motorcycle, a BSA 250cc 'Star' which dates me both by bike model and the fact that in the UK at the time (c.1970) you could gain your motorcycle and 3-wheeler licence on bikes of up to 250cc.

I'm not sure what the learner's limit is now: 125cc?

Then 3-wheelers then passed my car-driving test. On the second attempt but don't tell anyone :-)
