Gatorade. Mountain Dew. Tomato juice. Coffee. Red Bull. Energy Drinks. Coca Cola. Pepsi Cola. Buttermilk.

These are just a few of the (non-alcoholic)
beverages that many people drink but I do not.

What are some non-alcoholic beverages that many people drink but you do not?

Grapefruit juice, Ice-T, orange juice, Seltzer water, fruit punch and most sodas. This post was edited by Echooos at October 5, 2020 9:18 AM MDT

The only beverages I drink are water and coffee and an occasional cup of tea. The list of beverages that I don't drink is too long to post.

I'm not a fan of energy drinks. The only juice I drink is apple. I hate sarsaparilla/root beer/anything hinting at aniseed, and Dr Pepper is vile.

Red Bull or any energy drink, and soda.  I found the flavored seltzer water satisfies my desire for a carbonated drink without all the junk. Additionally, I don't drink or eat anything that isn't KETO friendly.

The things I don't drink from that list are Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Red Bull, Energy Drinks, Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola.  I don't drink any other kind of soft drink, either.  I used to drink the Coke, Pepsi or Mountain Dew that had the real sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup very rarely before I had kids, but now that I have kids I never buy any at all because I don't want them getting started on it.

That’s right, keep them away from the gateways. I can’t believe how many “parents” start giving even their infant children soda to drink.

How old is she now, and from what she has she not liked it?

She is now 27 now. I have known her since she was 9 and I never saw her drink any. We have some in the fridge for guests.

  • I don't give my kids soda either.  But know many parents that do...like Randy said it's quite baffling.  One of my kids has a good friend that is constantly drinking a soda.   It's pretty much a staple with every meal for him. And it shows.

Teeth, mood, weight, sluggishness, etc. It doesn’t portend anything good for anyone, but it’s even worse in young developing bodies.

Sounds like my first wife. She always had a can of Coke nearby. She finally admitted that was the reason for her doubling her weight. You heard me correctly...doubled. And she now has diabetes. And a wife. This post was edited by Element 99 at October 5, 2020 12:56 PM MDT

  • I'm not a coffee drinker either.  I also don't like the darker sodas (soda racist...I know).

      Lol!

Did you know they did blindfold taste-tests with various soda brands and flavors, some of which were only altered from the store-bought versions in that they had no food coloring in them, and after the test subjects tasted them and guessed the brand or flavor, they were surprised to learn that some of their guesses were accurate based merely on memory of how it had always tasted to them?

I'm going to streamline this question by saying that I only drink the 'elixir of the gods', better known to most as water (tap water).

Ever been to Adelaide? You don't drink water straight out of the tap here. You just don't. The stuff can etch glass.
It's just barely drinkable if you filter it.

You can smell the chlorine in our tap water from across the room. It irritates my eyes in the shower.

Th e water where is sweet.  It comes straight from the snow-fed lake up the road a ways (treated, of course).

I only drink water and coffee.  I like other beverages but I don't buy them.  I sometimes buy a small can of frozen orange juice or grape juice to mix and pour over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.   Yum.

I rarely drink anything other than water with lemon, coffee and herbal tea.

I'll have a Pepsi or Coke only if it's someplace that has vanilla syrup, which is almost nowhere. It's a nostalgic experience for me. :)

Why would anyone drink buttermilk? Ugh! I remember being made to try it as a child. Disgusting.
