Do you think mice might be 'smarter' than cats or dogs?

I have been dealing with a mouse problem using mostly sticky paper type of traps to snag them, laying papers around areas where they would go to feed. I happened to notice a mouse come along and he was carefully dragging the sticky papers away from the area where he wanted to go to.
Do you think a cat or dog would have the intelligence to do that? I am inclined not to think so.

No cats and dogs are way smarter then mice. If you are having a mouse problem build a water bucket mouse trap - if you Google it you can find out how to build one. Cheers and happy weekend!

Probably they are a lot smarter than mice overall but I was just a bit amazed to see that stupid mouse spoiling the paper traps I set up to catch the critters.

Not enough room in that tiny skull for much of a brain. And they tend to get eaten by cats and dogs pretty regularly, too. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at October 18, 2020 3:55 AM MDT

Glue traps are terribly inhumane. Maybe get a cat?
