In the most recent situation wherein you turned down something that someone offered to you, why were you not interested?

About a month ago, I was offered job by a former co-worker who will be starting his own company.  I investigated the situation for about two weeks before deciding to turn it down, there were many reasons I did it, the three main ones were that I have absolutely no training, experience or knowledge in the field, there was no training time nor training program, and the amount and type of work expected of me were far beyond the proposed salary.

Not exactly recent but some time ago I saw an ad for people to work in the porn industry so I went to enquire. I filled out some papers then had an interview with an attractive young lady and she made an appointment for me to return a couple days later. She said 'yes, we can use you for some upcoming video shoots' but first I must pay $500 for their camera man to take a video of me with a lady in order to see how well I performed.
I decided to turn down that job offer.

There’s a group of people I work with that take turns doing coffee runs mid morning every week day. Everyday for the past few weeks they ask me if I want one and everyday I say no thank you. I don’t want to be part of their coffee cult so I wish they would just stop ask me. I hate it.

Don’t have time to edit that right now, I’m busy hiding from the coffee cult.

Is it because you don’t drink coffee?

My neighbor tried to give me a big potted plant.  I declined the offer.  I don't want to be responsible for any living thing besides me.   I have one inside plant....a six year old Christmas cactus that will not die.  Trust me, I've tried to kill it.  It lay on its side on the ground for six months while my house was renovated and it survived.  Hardy.  Hardy little fellow!

Last month at my grandson's birthday party, I turned down a piece of cake. I don't eat sweets.

My granddaughter eats the icing and leaves the cake.

How old is the lass, and has she always done that?

I eat the cake and leave the icing.

She's two. Her dad doesn't allow her cake often (bad for her teeth), so "always" is hard to ascertain - I've seen her do it three times.

I don’t believe that I was given a fair chance.

To whom may I complain, please?
