I spend about an hour a week sweeping up leaves. When I am 'oot and aboot' with my walker the wheels pick up leaves which become bungled up in the wheel wells of the walker then when I get home deposits a trail of leaves from the elevator to my unit (about 60 feet) which I have to mop up. Everybody tracks leaves into the lobby and that is a job for the janitor to look after.
It's California, so there just aren't that many deciduous trees here. That said, there have been some leaves to contend with and I like to keep the walkways and the driveway clean. I'm not obsessed with keeping everything leaf-free though. Leaves provide a good mulch.
