What's the most serious injury you've ever received from an other-than-human animal?

Bucked off a young horse while cantering along a hard-packed dirt road.
Kicked in the ribs as I fell.
Landed hard.
Broke four ribs.
One of them punctured a lung.
Three days later, fainted from lack of air.
Four days in hospital with a stent draining the lung.
Two weeks in bed.
Six weeks for the bones to heal.
A year before the pain subsided.
Two years of mild pleurisy.

I've been much more careful with my training of young horses since then.

Bee sting. I'm allergic, it could have killed me.
