I have a family member who survived Covid (a miracle in itself...many health issues, pre-diabetic, COPD, over-weight, and another that need surgery) but cannot get surgery scheduled. They claim it is an elective surgery. How a literal life-saving surgery is "elective" makes no sense to me.
We skipped a family reunion because of cousin's wife had the virus.
I will say a prayer for your health Zack. Get you some Zinc vitamins to take. If you get symptoms do not put off going to the Dr...sooner they can treat the better.
Friends I know have had it and have come through it.
I know of a few nice acquaintances who have died from complications of it, most likely with other contributing factors.
And, personally, I admit to some anxiety challenges related to covid. But, along with making healthy choices ( for me, that includes wearing a mask in public and social distancing), my experience and growth, in general, dealing with anxiety helps me along the way. The same managing tools work in many ways for me.
The only persons I know personally who have been diagnosed are the husband, wife and adult child who live on the other side of the hall from me. I passed the wife and daughter when I was coming in via the basement entrance and they were in the laundry room - more than six feet away. If they've touched anything in the halls or compactor room, I always wash my hands the moment I come back in the apartment. I believe they should have alerted those of us who live on the same floor of their diagnosis, but they haven't - and this guy is the president of our co-op board! I found it out from another board member with whom I'm friendly.
Not me personally, but my sister just lost a good friend due to Covid last week. She was healthy, had no underlying conditions. A coworker lost her uncle last Monday from it. My brother didn't come for Thanksgiving because over 30 of his coworkers are in quarantine. I will keep you in my prayers.
