What is your parenting style?

I was a helicopter mom, always hovering above those little buggers. : ) Now that their adults they have to find their own path and so far so good. :)

I dunno. I never had a chance to try things out.

 

  My current parenting style is I’m-glad-they’re-now-grown-and-that-we‘re-empty-nesters. Whew!

Never becoming one, although I am stepfather to my wife's grown daughters.

Minimal rules with consequences enforced 105% of the time.  Never fail to enforce.  By sticking to it they don't push for it.    Let the small stuff slide....kids have to find their way and feel some control and fail ...more as they get older.   Always follow through if you say if you xxx, this is what will happen.  If they xxx, it must happen.   Like with the rules, after a few times they believe you.    Fun.  Have lots of fun with your kids.  You will no longer be the center of their world much sooner than you think..  It is true what they say:  Kids don't remember what you do for them; they remember what you did with them.
