Plus, I have an Italian brother-in-law and one of my nieces is marrying an Italian fellow.

    Perhaps a little.
When I was three months old, my parents took me from London (UK) to Italy where they rented a villa for six months in the village of Ronchi on the Adriatic Coast.
During their stay they left me with Italian mamas while they went off exploring.
They said the Italians fussed and loved me as they love all babies.
So it is to those mamas that I believe I owe my greatest gratitude for having the capacity to love, to recover from bad things, and to remain at least somewhat sane.

(Thank you, my brother from another mother.)

How barbaric.  I make mine from scratch  - including the sauce (home grown tomatoes).

Seem, seen... the letters are close.  I broke my only pair of glasses and I won't be able to get new ones for at least 2 more weeks (COVID restrictions).  So you may as well get used to typos.

And why are you looking at my seem anyhow?

I looked on the wrong bedroom window, sorry. Could you direct me to the house where Jane S lives, please?  Thank you. (Cough, cough.)

  • Half of my ancestry, my father's side of the family, is Italian.  They immigrated from northern Italy, specifically the regions of Piemonte, Liguria, Lombardia and Toscana.

None by blood, but I'm with Spunky. Italian food is ambrosia, it's almost as good as Vegemite. Lasagna made by my better half is better than that, and she's not Italian either.
She does have some Gypsy ancestry and their language (Romani) is derived from Latin. Does that count?
