I hope you have exactly the kind of evening you enjoy best.

    Ah, the dreaded Covid.
    I'm glad you're staying safe.
I hope it's peaceful and very enjoyable.
    For Auld Lang Syne. :)

We have yet to have "plans" for New Years Eve. I don't like NYE parties where people drink and drunks try to kiss you at midnight.  Seriously, I can't take it; I always go to the bathroom at 11:55.   People do fireworks so much here that we can go out to the pool and watch them.  There is usually a small crowd out there even though no real plans.  This cool weather made it even more pleasant.

I agree about the drunks. I've always hated that kind of party.
But the fireworks out by the pool sounds very enjoyable, even if it's Canada-cold and maybe snowing.
    I wish you a very happy 2021, Thriftymaid. :)

That's 363 days from now. No plans yet, although I probably will watch episodes of "The Twilight Zone" as I do every year.

I sat for several hours watching ”The Twilight Zone” marathon the other day, and loved it. There were some episodes that I had forgotten about, too.

Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 5 are available on Netflix. I watched "The Midnight Sun" with its reference to the waterfall near Ithaca, NY (Taughannock Falls, which she described as "the tallest waterfall in this part of the country"), "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?" with the Cayuga Bus Lines bus outside the Hiway Diner, and "Death's Head Revisited" yesterday on Netflix. The series was produced by Rod Serling's production company, Cayuga Productions. You probably are aware that Ithaca sits at the southern end of Cayuga Lake.

My wife and I visited Taughannock Falls on vacation to the Ithaca area in 2017:

Thank you!  No, I’m not familiar with much about Ithaca nor any of its environs.
