I'd probably start a food truck. My friends and I have been playing around with that idea for a while now. Hypothetically, of course.

    Hello again, Karen:

That's a passive activity.. Think of something you like to do with your hands..

I would set up a phony company and embezzle all of the money. Then I would take a 2 month vacation to Jamaica. Did you write "pathetic" on purpose?

I would do consulting work but setting up a company properly is expensive and I am sure I spent more than 20k in the first year to get going.

    Hello IT:

I've done a lot of consulting in between gigs..  It wasn't expensive at all. All I needed was a nice suit, a phone, and a computer.

To properly set up the business the first time I mean I think I probably spent more than 20k in that first year for legal fees and registering some things I needed. Also I had no office and little hardware because I was going from working for employer to self employed. After that it is not as much.

  • That would be nice but I  have no idea what I'd consult about.  :) This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 21, 2016 5:48 AM MDT

Wonder how many $millions I could make if I produced a kit for about $20.00 that would convert car horns to sound like 'Trump! trump!' instead of 'toot toot'... This post was edited by Kittigate at October 20, 2016 5:54 AM MDT

I would like to buy a Papa Murphys pizza franchise.  The closest one to here is about 45 miles.  I generally stay away from chain restaurants, but this is very good pizza that is put together on a pan that you take home and bake, right in that pan, in your own oven.  You get piping hot delicious pizza for a reasonable cost.    Too bad the initial investment is $250,000.     And you don't even have to buy cooking equipment!  I don't want it that badly.  :)

With $20,000, a website store of some kind is probably the best bet.

  • I've never had Papa Murphy's before.  We have them here though.  A web store isn't a bad idea.  :)

I had never heard of them until I went to Washington.  A delivered pizza just doesn't compare (to me).  :)

  • I need to try one.  :) We have them just not close to where I live.

I did just a short time ago.  Now I hypothetically only have about 10 left.   Hypathetic, isn't it? This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at October 20, 2016 9:57 AM MDT
