Do You Feel Sorry for Yourself, and Demand That Others Feel Sorry For You, Too?

I think most of us are aware of how tedious and desensitizing it is to be constantly bombarded with case after case of perennial/professional/political victimhood.  What's sorely missing is any discussion of how to empower the INDIVIDUAL such that he or she will NOT be a victim in the future.

I'm not really the victim type. I also know how blessed I am.

I agree.  Same for most every plight among humans.  Hunger comes to mind.  It actually irritates me, as well-meaning as I know they are,  to hear people say they gave away or delivered XXX meals in a day, week, month, or year.  I always reply the same (sometimes just in m head) "But what have you done to help with the hunger problem?"

Give a man a fish and he isn't hungry for a day; teach him to fish and he'll never be hungry again. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at October 19, 2016 6:29 PM MDT

  • All that are left are tech jobs. How do you empower people that aren't autistic?
