Do you ever randomly hear a song that you haven't heard for a long time and then you need to listen

to it 100 times?

I do.

I don't think I've ever heard the song, either, until now. I really liked it. :)

And like I said, also, I don't understand the music video and its story line, I guess.

He has that Hero song, too --the beginning of it, for some reason, really freaks me out when he whispers, "Let me be your hero." it's not at all comforting to me.
Scares me, don't know why, ha!  :)

I hardly cares about storyline. I mostly hear the audio song on my phone.

I get your point and understand your point, yes.

And in all my talking up there, I forgot to say I liked the "Addicted" song!
    :)

EDIT" Where is my head? "Yes, WelbyQ - - look again -- you DID already tell Ritesh that you liked the song. Go take a rest, WelbyQ."
    :)

On a short break from work --

I love the question and I only was able to quickly look at everything people have posted! I'll be back for sure!

The first song to come to my mind ---

    Aimee Mann's "Wise Up" --

this song NEVER gets old to me - - I have listened on 'repeat'  a lot! The only thing is that I never hear it on the radio or whatever -- I have to "randomly" play it myself. So, my answer may not "officially" count -- but any time I hear it, I HAVE to listen.

I would argue that this song can only better anyone's life who takes the time to listen.

I plan on posting the lyrics and the song.

    "Wise Up"

    It's not what you thought
    When you first began it
    You got what you want
Now you can hardly stand it, though
    By now you know
    It's not going to stop
    It's not going to stop
    It's not going to stop
    Till you wise up

    You're sure there's a cure
And you have finally found it
    You think one drink
Will shrink you till you're underground
    And living down
But it's not going to stop
    It's not going to stop
    It's not going to stop
    Till you wise up

Prepare a list for what you need
Before you sign away the deed
'Cause it's not going to stop
    It's not going to stop
    It's not going to stop
    Till you wise up

No, it's not going to stop
    Till you wise up
No, it's not going to stop

    So  just

    give up

I really like that one. And this one, too. And Aimee Mann in general. Thanks!

I liked this song, yes! I don't think I've heard it until now. When it comes to her, Mann is my man.  ;)

So far in my life, everything I've heard from her I've enjoyed.

(And I've always liked the singing voice of that lead singer of REO Speedwagon.)

It happened again; five songs to add to your list:

    “I Haven’t Stopped Dancing” by González, 1979.

“I Know There's Something Going On" by Frida, 1982. *Anni-Frid Lyngstad of the Swedish group ABBA.

“Wishing Well” by Terence Trent D’Arby, 1987.

“Should Have Known Better” by Richard Marx, 1987.

    “I Like” by Guy, 1989.

I've always really liked that Frida song, too.

I listened to Gonzalez and Guy - I didn't know those songs.

The other two songs I've known and liked, too.

"How To Save a Life"     The Fray

(And the music video 'kills' me - - so powerful and moving to me. The people in the video come across as SO REAL!! I want to hug all of them. I can hardly watch it. Makes me cry.

I had loved the song for years before then seeing the music video.)

    "Drive"      The Cars

    My favorite The Cars song

The music video remains one of the very best I've ever seen.
All-around fine art to me in every way.

One of the most beautiful women ever featured on a music video, her natural beauty is truly enhanced by the lighting and camera work.

    Agreed!
And, without saying a word, she communicates a wide-ranging wealth of emotions more effectively than many actors and actresses  I've seen talking endlessly in full-length feature movies.  :)

And I sort of assume you already might know that the woman, Paulina Porizkova, and The Cars' Ric Ocasek eventually married. They met while they all filmed this video. This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at February 2, 2021 5:46 PM MST
