What is your favorite spectator sport, and why? ~

      Er, um, we don’t like to publicize it, but the Canadian and I usually only get together for one main reason . . .

    Curling is a Scottish game. Canadians are more into hockey. Curling takes too much time and concentration for Canada, you're likely to be eaten by a bear.
    Curling is only marginally more interesting than lawn bowls, mainly because of the chance of a sweeper slipping on the ice and going a$$ over teakettle.

    Scottish, really? I didn't know. It's gained popularity in some northern United States, but is mostly known as Canadian in this part of the world. 

    I surmised that my attraction to the sport initially was that it looked like something I could actually do. Hehe.

    Australian football. Helmets are for pansies.



    Cricket is more of a participation sport from my point of view, although it too can be fascinating to watch if you understand the nuances of the game. A little too cerebral for some tastes.
