When it is the rainy season which do you prefer, raincoat or umbrella?

I usually prefer an umbrella but it can become awkward in the gusty winds or if I got a lot of stuff to carry. Overall I think a raincoat with a hood is the more practical choice.

Look! No! Be normal! Since yellow rubber raincoats disappeared as a kid with black galoshes, I lost the nostalgia for them with the streamlined and slim hoi polloi look people engender today. I don't think I ever heard that word before, so I typed "Bumbershoot" and hit "images" and the only images that came up were a bunch of images of an outdoor theater. I got confused until I looked at one of them closer . . . ha.   :)

Yes, I found out that, too, ha. I forgot to mention it in my answer. 
I also found out it's also a music and arts festival in Seattle, Washington, USA.
