Are men afraid of you?

Oh yes. I'm very intimidating and a major sexual competitor. 

They are if they don't like smart women who like to be treated like equals.

The smart ones are.

The ones that worked with me in the mine sure were - when I said jump they jumped but it wasn't because they knew I was a bad a** it was because they knew that I had poor math skills so I probably made another measuring mistake on the fusses so they better jump for cover behind a scooptram. Cheers!  

Let me answer with what one man, who has known me a long time, said to me once:

"You are truly THE least intimidating person I have ever known in my entire life."

And he added that he meant it as a compliment.

I don't think so.  I think some American men are intimidated when they feel they aren't the stronger and/or smarter in a relationship.  I can only surmise that it comes from that place of being responsible for the well-being and safety of the women in their lives.  I also think that dies off some with age.
