    I'm not a sleepwalker but my mother told me that once when I was a preschooler I got out of bed during the night, walked into her room, pulled up my gown, and sat down on her vanity bench.  She got to me in time to move me to the bathroom. 

    All of the bedroom doors are right at the top of the stairwell.  When kids slept over at our house I was always fearful of them sleepwalking and falling; I always asked parents if they had a history.  One of my friends had to install double cylinder bolts on all doors to keep her son from walking out of the house in his sleep.  That amazes me.
