Is your complexion lighter or darker than that of your significant other?

I am a Black American, I have a dark brown complexion, my wife is Asian, she is several shades lighter.

We're both fair-skinned, but I tend to tan more readily. One thirty-second doesn't really count melanin-wise.

I don't have a significant other, but I have always been lighter complexioned than my former beaux.

I don't have a significant other and maybe that's a good thing. Let's just say that I'm not Africa black. I'm actually brown-black. This post was edited by Zack at April 1, 2021 1:31 PM MDT

She is a shade darker during the no-sun times, but much darker in the summer as she spends a lot of time in the sun, which I cannot tolerate for more than a few minutes.

Is that a picture of the two of you? I am Caucasian and my wife is Afro-Caribbean. She has a similarly-complected cousin who describes herself as "black like tar."

How could it be a picture of anyone when it’s not a picture at all? I’m surprised at you. Grrrrrrr.
