How far is it from you?

Work? How far is work from me? 
About 10 years away since I am retired.

 

  I’m about halfway by now.

The Diefenenbaker bunker is about 3 miles from here. It was built for Canada's Prime Minister during the cold war in the late 50s on property owned by the Nanoose Bay Navy base . Years ago I tried sneaking on to the property  to have a peak at it but because of my bad luck or stupidity I went while they were having war games and came face to face with a guy laying behind a machine gun on a ground tripod. I was high so it was pretty freaky. Cheers!

Ok.   Lets see now.... "it" iszzzz twentyyyy one... annnnnnnd (1, 2..) threeeee.... (um.. half, quarters..) eights inches .awa....  WAIT.. the cat just bumped the screen (stupid cat!).  Let me try this again......ok,..."it" is now twentyyyyy... three ... annnnnnnnd (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6..), 7... (um...half, quarter, eighth..) ..sixteenths inches ..  "it" is exactly 23-7/16 inches away from me.

Pretty far away --
   creeped me out.
