how do you make friends when noone is interested?




ever since ive lived here i never have friends, not sure why, i never have anyone to so much as go out for a cup of coffee with, noone ever asks me, if i didnt go to church activities i would never have anyone to talk to, i go for church itself too. like on holidays i never have anyone asking me to come over, im single so im alone anyways, im tired of living like this, how can i have a normal life and get to hang out with people? any ideas?

    Maybe if find out a bit of things about them (their likes and interest) then talk about some of those things when you meet them it could be a start of a friendship. Cheers!

    Have you invited any of these people to visit you at home?  Have you asked any of these people if they'd like to go out for coffee with you?  You are waiting for them to approach you, but you aren't putting out any vibes that you're interested in them either.

    I wouldn't know. My only friends are here. Perhaps you could tell others about your colonoscopy or your kidney cysts. That should attract a lot of folks.

    Cysts can be very interesting to talk about.  Did you know that cysts can grow hair, teeth and even eyes?  Ewww!  Hey, wait, where are all my friends going?  I waited until after supper!

    My last colonoscopy, I felt like I was peeing out of my butt, the night before. On the day of the proceedure, they rolled me into the room while the doctor was listening to Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. After the event I found myself in a room with strangers competing in a farting contest.

    Do they have any activity teams at your church that you could volunteer for?  That would give you more personal interaction with people there and perhaps a friendship could be made there.

    My comment about liking things that way was for the poster antibiotic, not you and now I understand what you meant by you don't get notifications like you used to.  That was why you didn't respond sooner.  You're confusing two different answers of mine - one to antibiotic and one to you. 
    So, have you made any attempt to invite anyone to your home or out for coffee or are you waiting for them to make the first move?
