It's the best kind of music there ever was, isn't it? :)

      Wait, what?

    That’s nonsensical.

    :(

I'm sure a number of folks here do, but I doubt I could name one musical group from that decade, nor did I find the music appealing.

Wait...I like some techno. This post was edited by Element 99 at April 10, 2021 4:43 PM MDT

Me, too.  That's the music I grew up listening to and I guess it's the same for everyone else.  If you grew up in the 90s, you like techno.

EDIT:  There is actually one "song" I can identify and like - "Pump Up The Jam."  I love the beat.

There are a only few scattered selections here and there from the 1990s that I like. By January 1, 1990, my favorite decade of music had just ended, and the new music being released at that time (and since that time) had fewer and fewer of the elements that attract me. As I become (and have become) increasingly unfamiliar with the newer artists, I was also unimpressed with the musical arrangements, their stage presence, but most blatantly, the lyrics. Little by little, I had less enjoyment from newer music than I had ever had in the music produced in the few preceding decades. By January 1, 2000, I was hard-pressed to even connect a particular song with its artist(s). By January 1, 2010, for having stopped listening to them, I could not even name any top 40, top 20, top 10, or number one song or artist. I revert to the 1980s, 1970s, 1960s, and even some 1950s songs all the time. That’s my range of favorites, I am not only knowledgeable of them, I’m also more comfortable with them than anything that came out since.

I am the same. In the early 90s, after I retired from the Navy, I was too busy going to college and taking care of two kids to even listen to music, other than classical on NPR.

Well I was in the Kiss Army so it was my duty to just say no to house and techno music. Cheers and happy weekend!
