Would you please post a song that you love that you think will surprise your fellow Muggers?

But you really have to love the song, for real. And try to surprise us!

i listen to a lot of different music so it's hard to find something that would be surprising. But this song is a cover by my fav band and it's not really their style so the first time I heard it I was shook

Not really my style, but interesting. I listened to other versions, very different.

I like surprising covers from bands. I loved the cover of 'Sound of Silence' by "Disturbed".

I’m going to post some retro songs I like because there’s a story behind them, which I kind of mentioned in a recent post.  It was in my reply to Nanoose in this post: https://answermug.com/forums/topic/138857/have-you-ever-considered-or-thought-about-moving-to-a-foreign-co/

Anyway, I have an old pink boom box on my kitchen counter which I use to listen to the radio all day.  I own the house I grew up in, so that pink boom box has always been there as far as I’m concerned.  My mom bought it sometime in the 80s.

I don’t know what causes it, but it gets stray radio stations all of the time.  Last week’s out-of-town visitor was 102.9 the Z, a country station from Arkansas.

One of the farthest radio stations I ever picked up on the pink boom box was Ocean 98.5 from Victoria, BC.  I still remember what they were playing, so now this is my playlist for daydreaming about being in a sailboat off the coast of British Columbia.  I lost their signal after the third song.

Very cool story! I've never really liked that last song, but the lyrics are really lovely, now that I've listened to the song.

I know the other two songs very well. Nice choices!

There are so many song that I really love (and some of those already posted appear promising), but some unusual choices are two songs from the musical, "Little Shop of Horrors":
    Somewhere That's Green https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIvpOIUqKKA
    Suddenly Seymour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqh1CQvR1Cg

    How corny can you get?
