Who is your favourite female vocalist?

Are you the Anonymous Witch?  He is the only person I know who loved this band.  He kind of introduced it to Answerbag.  :)

I remember it was someone on Answerbag who introduced me to the band but I couldn't remember the exact person. I'm a fan of the band now, too. :)

She's amazing.

And Dionne Warwick being her aunt, I think? Wow - - what talent in that family.

I wasn't all that crazy about Dionne Warwick, but I loved every song Whitney Houston sang.  At the Super Bowl, she did one of the best renditions of the Star Spangled Banner I've ever heard and that's a song a lot of singers do poorly.

I've heard her version here many times- - you're right - - she's great here. I've never seen the "visuals," though. I only have heard it. I love her expressions at 3:03 through 3:08.

I miss her, too.  She had an amazing vocal range and could have provided many more years of song.

I remember your mentioning on of her specific albums, too, I think. I might be wrong on that.

I remember the first time I heard her -- (I'm not lying)  I was in a bathroom and music was playing loudly on a TV from another part of the building and I heard it in the bathroom. I hurriedly (and prematurely) "finished" in the bathroom to run to the room and ask "Who IS that singing?"

:)  Ha!

I've been a HUGE fan ever since!

I, of course, had heard her name but never had really heard her singing voice until that evening.
