I accidentally threw away a bag of $18 worth of shrimp when I misunderstood my wife’s instructions on trash day.

[What’s an item you’ve accidentally thrown away? Apparently, it makes sense to her that saying “the left side of the kitchen sink” means as she is facing away from it, not toward it.]

Greeting card bought at supermarket at same time as groceries.  I think it got left in the basket in the small area where my purse sat.  I put it under my purse to keep it safe.  Yeah.

No, probably around $4.  I'll get over it one day.  This was a serious Thrifty Failure.

Whenever I'm cooking something with a meal base out of a packet (yes, I'm lazy), I'm always tossing it in the trash before I'm done reading the instructions.

I do that all the time, but it's just in the recycling, so it's not that bad.
