I do like to eat sweets but a long time ago I found out that sweets can be unhealthy so I eliminated about 90% of sweets out of my diet. I even get cravings for sweets sometimes but I bear with it.
Geez -- based on the answers thus far, I seem to be one of a very few persons in the world, along with Nevan B who likes cookies, donuts, chocolate milk, cake (and, Shuhak, too is with us on that one)

Cane sugar is a di-saccharide and must be split to create glucose, the sugar used in cellular respiration. Corn syrup is already glucose. I guess cane sugar is twice as evil.
I do. I don't eat sugar anymore because of its evil character. It is the single food that causes inflammation more than any other. Publix has delicious artificially sweetened ice cream and frozen novelties like fudge bars and ice cream sandwiches. Also, Murray makes great sugar-free chocolate chip cookies. So I eat sweets but not sugar anymore. And, it was hard to stop eating the sugar....I ate Life Saver Wint-O-Green mints all day every day for years. That's probably the closest thing to an addiction I've experienced.
