What is the largest cash transaction that you've witnessed somebody making, or such a transaction that you've made?

My mouth opened in astonishment when I saw a customer count ten 100-dollar bills to pay for his purchase of caviar.

I recently made a cash payment of 1,100 dollars for my dental bill.

Your customers buy so much stuff you need a backhoe to load up their vehicles?

No. This was about 4 yrs before we started the concrete statue business. We were in construction work then.  My husband was pouring concrete basements. So needed the backhoe to grade the floors and dig the footers.

We do use a forklift now but that is because of the weight of some of the items.  Many items weight hundreds of pounds. A couple weigh over 2 thousand pounds. This post was edited by my2cents at June 14, 2021 7:37 PM MDT

Rather than largest I'll share the most recent large transaction.  I made a deposit on behalf of a family member who was out of town when they received a $35,000 check in their mailbox which I was checking daily. She did not want to wait until she got home so I went to the bank and deposited the check into her account.  Not very exciting to handle someone else's money.

I don't think cheques count. I've handled business cheques worth hundreds of thousands. The question specifies cash.

And what is the largest cash transaction that you've made or witness somebody else making?

You can't trick me that easily, you IRS snitch.
I've reported all my cash transactions, so you already know the answer.
