No!!! I would be extremely pissed off if someone gave my child any vaccine without my consent.

Government regularly requires children to be vaccinated, regardless of how the parents feel about it. IE: If you want your child to attend public school - you have to have them vaccinated. Sure, you can home school - but most parents can't afford to do so. And sure, some districts allow exceptions for reasons beyond allergies - but those exemptions are becoming fewer and fewer.
I meant "can't afford" as in - until the child reaches a certain maturity (not necessarily age), while they can be home schooled, it requires at least one parent to stay home with the child. Since most families require both parents to work, it is too much of a financial hardship.
Any idea where Philadelphia came up with that age? Did they previously use it for requesting birth control, or something? (I know many jurisdictions have that kind of "no parental consent required" law in place. But think the age is generally 16.)
