I’ll sign for you; heck, I already have the dungeon cell spare bedroom all made up for you. Now if you’ll just get into the van that I have parked outside . . .

    Hehehe!

This was definitely not about me! Such a tempting offer, though. ;)

Oh, wait, it’s not about you as the adoptee? That means you’ve prepared the spare bedroom on your place because you’re offering to adopt me! I’ll be right there!

    45 women.
    50 men.

Assuming both are physically capable of keeping up with a baby/toddler. There is a reason young people have the babies.

    Thank you.

Since, on average, women live longer than men, I am curious as to your reasoning?

Yes, about 10-11 years before age 45 the odds of maternal age related abnormalities begin to increase.  Also, healthy women under age 25 can also give birth to children with chromosomal abnormalities.

A very personal decision for every woman and family, I think.

It depends on the age of the adoptee and the parents' expected life span. Children should have the hope of having living parents well into adulthood.

I tend to agree with this, coupled with the prospective parents' general health and ability to engage fully. Not that people who lack certain physical abilities shouldn't be parents - there are all sorts of ways to adapt.
Generally, I think it's best to be thoughtful about it. Life is unpredictable, though. Stuff happens! :)

Never too old. Unless of course the person you are adopting is older.  You need to be careful who you bring into you life.
Someone who has no moral compass or respect for others is not a good choice.

I hear you. There are circumstances that arise in which grandparents or surrogate grandparents are the very best option for a child in need of parents!

Well the object to raising a child is to live long enough to do the Robot dance at their wedding reception. So I figure having a child after you are 60 would be getting too old -  60 + 20 or 25 years until the child gets married would make a person  80 to 85 years old which is still young enough to do the robot dance and not look silly. Cheers!
