I recently heard a discussion on the SF Bay Area's NPR station (KQED-FM) about the challenges of maintaining civility when discussing political differences (especially within family relationships). Several callers to the show indicated they tended to clam up about their conservative views/support of Trump in the predominanty liberal-leaning social environment of the SF Bay Area
Conversely, I saw an article on Salon.com about women in the "Red Middle" of the United States who support Hilary Clinton, but are reluctant to make their views public.

How prevelant do you think such groups are and how much influence do you think they'll have on the upcoming election?
