    Nothing, nothing at all.  I'm not sure a baby that young can actually think.  At that age, it's probably all feeling.

    I don't think it has to do with language as much as it has with brain development to comprehend what external stimuli mean.

    My belief is babies are capable of complex thought, they just can't articulate it or connect their thoughts to the big picture.

      I agree with your assessment, BB.

      Just because babies don’t think exactly the way adults think doesn’t mean that they’re completely devoid of the ability to think or devoid of thought. I believe that thought is in many ways instinctive, that thinking begins at some point while still in the womb, that the birthing process stimulates A LOT of thinking on the part of a baby, and that the five senses are all manifestations of the formation of thought and/or the transmission of sensations and emotions to the brain, in other words, thoughts.
