Would you rather go to jail for a year or go to jail with a Rubik’s cube and leave when you solve it? I’d take the year.

  • That's a good question!  I think I'd have to take the year too!

I‘m glad I’m not the only one who couldn’t solve one in a year :)

There are lot's of us who can't. I had a student who could solve them in 30 seconds.

That's what I was thinking - the old cubes had stickers that you could rearrange the new ones don't. So if I went to jail with a old style cube I would be out in 2 minutes. But I would probably have to do my Rain Man act so they figure I must of solved it so fast because I am a genius. Cheers and happy weekend!

Lol no, you get an extra 2 years added to your sentence for bad behaviour. ;)

Is this said cube the vintage original where you could peel the color stickers off and put them back where you want them?

Haha, yay! I honestly thought I would be the only one to choose the year. I’m happy I will have company in jail :)

Oh, if it’s company you want while in jail, I am available to see you there about once a week, Jaimie. You know what I mean. (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

The second option.  About a year after Rubik’s Cubes were first put on the market and were all the rage, I tried to solve them a few times but never succeeded. I was just a wee tyke then, and I lost interest quite quickly after discovering that the concept was far beyond the capacity of my feeble brain. I doubt I’ve advanced much to the point that I could solve one easily nowadays, but I may have more patience to weather the storm, and could probably solve it in under a year’s time. Also, if I had a few pinup photos of you on the walls of my cell, I’d be more inspired to get out as early as possible.

Same, I remember  getting one in my Christmas stocking as a kid  and getting frustrated with it within the first few minutes.

    Here, pin up this ;p
