Very few times in my life, mainly for weddings and concerts. But I will be at my synagogue tomorrow for Rosh Hashanah.

  • I last went to a church for services in 1977.  I last went to a church for a concert in 1983.

17 years ago. I had a Buddhist friend from China who wanted to visit various Christian churches.

I wasn't there alone.  I spoke to a few people, but no, it wasn't a social event.  It was high worship.....no guitars or interpretive dancing. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at September 6, 2021 7:51 PM MDT

I can’t remember exactly how long. I know the last time I would have been in a church was for a wedding.  I haven’t been to a wedding in the past two years and the last few I’ve been to did not take place in a church. So my best guess would be four or five years ago.

It was three years ago.  I went to church with my mom.  That was two churches ago for my mom.  That was the “trying too hard to be cool church”.  lol, They had a marketing team which means they already failed at being cool and hip before they even got started.  She quit that church and went to a different church that merged Christianity with right-wing politics.  I never went there, she just told me about it.  She hasn’t been to any church for over a month now because she left that church also.  Now that she’s not going to church, she hasn’t started any arguments with me which is really nice!  I hope it lasts!

Early in 2020, only a couple or weeks before the first lock-down!

It was for a funeral, and was a Salvation Army service.

Previous? 2019 - Invited to the ordination to deacon, of a friend.

And before that? 2018 - visiting a cathedral on a geological study-tour, examining the building's varied masonry materials.

Otherwise.... only the occasional funeral. I don't attend weddings these days.
