Who is your favorite (active) TV anchor?

Mine is Lester Holt.

    I like David Muir, but he's a bit weird.  What I don't like is that he prefaces his questions to the reporter on scene with such detail that the reported has very little to say.

       I don't have one. I stopped watching television 5 or 6 years ago. The direction the news was taking at that time and the lack of any good programs were two of the main reasons why I stopped watching television.

    Seeing other answers and posts and comments, I am adding another post.



    The best newscasts in the world - - ever - - and I am correct, regardless of what anyone else may  think:


    The newscasts from director George Romoero's orignal 1968 "Night of the Living Dead'

    If anyone bothers to watch, the first "newscaster" in the clips is Charles Craig, my favorite newscaster in the movie. I contacted him and we set a date to meet. I've met him and talked with him -- he was very nice to me as we talked about the movie. And he's funny.

    Hey ,thanks for a Pick! I hope you can watch it sometime, yes!  :)

    Obviously, all of these newscasts don't occur right after each other in the movi e- - a YouTuber just put all the newscasts together in one clip.

    And, yes, I agree - - that whole scene in the newsroom, with the activity going on behind him, works well for me, too.

    The first time I saw this movie, our dad took us all to a drive-in theater to see this movie and it was the THIRD movie of a triple feature. And we're all sitting in the car - - check out the screen at the 1:52 mark - - we lived in Youngstown when we were watching it!! I about FREAKED out seeing "Youngstown" appear on the screen! Ha! All of the towns and cities are in that area.  :)

    To me, when I first saw this movie as a 13 years-old guy, the sense of 'realism' pervaded though the movie for me. Still does as I've aged.

    The movie, to me, has 'real' people with flaws and strengths - - they're all just trying to figure out what's going on, and how to survive. (That is not a Plot Spoiler or anything.)

    After a long, long active day, your reply made my day better.  Thanks  :)
