Foreign accents are a silly thing to get in a snit about. There are a few I have a little difficulty puzzling out, mainly eastern European or Middle Eastern, but I don't hate them.
There's no hate in my heart for foreign accents by itself. What I hate is some people that may be speaking a foreign accent. So far, I haven't run into any people that have pissed me off.
He's doing something right, for sure -- I hear his stuff a lot. He's just not for me. :) I admit his singing drives me to turn off/switch the radio to turn him off if I hear him, ha.
-- and then he starts yelling (to my ears), when he gets emotional or whatever, later in this song. :) I like the piano part and music, though.
Yes, to each their own! We've a lot of overlap of taste, you and I. I can usually find some common ground with people when it comes to music. If they're like I and have varied musical interests, especially.
