    A) Pumpkin patch. I think observing a huge garden overgrown with hundreds of ripe pumpkins would be fascinating!

I went to one yesterday that also has a corn maze. The maze gave my anxiety but the pumpkins are pretty.

  • B) horror movie and E) haunted house

I can watch a horror movie anytime.  I can find a haunted house.  The others aren't a part of my October.  They're a part of my April.

Ahh right you’re in spring now. I know people don’t celebrate Halloween in Argentina either. Do you have anything similar there when kids can go to strangers homes and ask for candy? It is a pretty messed up tradition when you really think about it lol :)

  • We don't have anything similar to trick-or-treating.  I think most Argentine parents would disapprove of that.  Halloween isn't a special day for most Argentines, but some clubs host costume parties or masquerade balls on 31 October.  It's a night for adults.  Our kids get a babysitter instead of candy if their parents go to a party or ball. The North American Halloween symbols aren't as much of a part of our costume parties or masquerade balls.

I went clubbing with my friends every Halloween night except last year.  There were no parties or balls last year.  I don't think there will be anything this year. We now have the mu variant of COVID-19. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 5, 2021 9:05 PM MDT

I haven’t heard of MU variant but if kind of stopped following the covid news. We can’t go anywhere like a club or restaurant without a vaccine passport so I doubt there will be much going on in the clubs here for Halloween either. I don’t go clubbing anymore but from what I’ve heard they’re pretty much still dead. This post was edited by Jaimie at October 5, 2021 9:05 PM MDT

  • It's the next variant to worry about.  The first person in Argentina to go to the hospital with the mu variant had both of her vaccine doses.  I hope this doesn't bring a return of restrictions.

I went to the USA in July to get my shots because Argentine government failed the vaccine rollout.  My father went to receive his second dose.  The clinic didn't have it so he needed to wait a few more weeks.  We're catching up quickly now.  Today, 50,18% of Argentina is fully vaccinated and 15,31% await their second shots.  I hope this helps us return to normal.  I hate being unable to do my favourite things.   I want to go clubbing with my friends again.  I want to go snow skiing with my friends next winter.

But I don't want to have to worry about any more variants I just started worrying about that Delta variant. It seems like ever new variant gets a little bit more dangerous. I am starting to wonder if one of these new variants will be able to jump from humans to animals them back to humans.   Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at October 5, 2021 9:42 PM MDT

    F. But we have a window air unit (set to 70). So we just leave it on and turn the heat (set to 68) on so we do not get extreme of either.
