Sandwichnista, sandwichista, sandwichologist, sandwicher, sandwichist, sandwichtician, sandwicharian, sandwichioner, sandwicher . . .

Inspired by Starbuck’s baristas, what would be a good and appropriate way to refer to those happy and willing ladies who toil day and night in my basement dungeon subterranean sandwich-making facility?

I believe Subway refers to their workers as Sandwich Artists.

I thought the 'artists' were the folks who made them for the ads.

It is but a lot of places do that stuff now.  I used to work at Home Depot and there thing was "You are The Home Depot."  Nonsense. But corporates think it makes employees feel special.

If they're truly happy and willing, I believe the correct term would be "Stepford Sandwichista'.

If they are not truly happy and willing, I'd go with "Sandwich Slave" or just plain old "human trafficking victim".

I almost went that route, but I love Ira Levin novels and the original movie is classic! This post was edited by SavvyAnsley at October 20, 2021 9:52 PM MDT

I know!  Since it’s almost Halloween, we can call them the sandwitches!

    hahahaha!

What?  I thought it was funny!

You’re moving me to the -4th floor?  I thought your basements only went down to the -3rd floor!

I’ve decided that you deserve your own special sub-basement level. Grrrrrrrr.
