A man by the name of Jeremy Case has recently begun dating a woman whose first name is Charity.

If he eventually proposes to her, why shouldn’t she marry him?

Actually it was kinda obvious. Unless you have absolutely no sense of humour, those names (as well as being racially offensive, if you're a snowflake) were plainly puns. Apparently they let the high school work experience kid send the information and he saw the opportunity to punk them. A prank that worked too well.

    Yeah, you're right.

But, for me, I can maybe see that in the drama and heat of the moment, the newscasters were intent on trying their best and just reading without thinking or whatever. Just trying to share information.
The recordings I've seen (I only saw it once or twice) the reporter seems very intent on just trying to say the names.

I wonder if anything happened to that highschooler. I only remember hearing that the information sent to reporters was indeed, intended as a prank, like you said. I  didn't know the prankster was a highschooler.

Newscasters and their producers are on the hunt for the almighty buck, which is snared by higher ratings than their competitors, meaning they rush to be the first to report “breaking news*” even before any actual facts have been gathered and/or verified. The fever pitch to be first causes them to be no more than rumor- mongers, and rarely are there any retractions of incorrectly reported “information”.

*Nowadays, ANY and ALL broadcasts are mislabeled as “breaking news”, regardless of how old the information is, how many hours it’s been regurgitated ad nauseam, how many rival outlets have already barfed it out also, and how inaccurate it is.

    Yeah, you're right.

I'm just remembering how uncomfortable it was for me to hear them say those names. I was thinking, "Do you hear what you're saying?" And I still was uncomfortable for them; they were seemingly so unaware of what they were saying.

    " . . . have already barfed it out  . . . "

If he's old and super rich, and she's 21 and has great ... shall we say, "assets", then the name fits well.

(I have no answer -- but those images are almost too funny to believe they're real. Each one of them - wow!)
