What is something you enjoy musically about Halloween?

Mine?
On radio stations, I finally get to hear to hear Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" rather than Kid Rock's (annoying to me) "All Summer Long."

Whenever I hear that Kid Rock song all year long - - all I want to do is hear Zevon's Werewolves..

(And I realize Kid Rock references a couple of other songs in his song but all I hear is "Werewolves of London.")

I get it. The one I listed is the only one for me, I think. By chance, I heard the song on the radio yesterday and thought of the question.  :)

After seeing your answer, I realized I've forgotten about a lot of such songs. Yours you posted is one of my favorites!
He does a great job performing here, ha!

    Don't know that one.

Read the King book -- I think it saw the original movie (there have been several, I think?). The first one was pretty good from what I remember, like you said. I liked the book better, I remember.  :)

I listened while at lunch. Never heard this song. I enjoyed listening, didn't strike me a strong way or anything but I always enjoy listening to new-to-me songs. (I admit I liked the bald guy in the video, ha.)

    Thanks!
I like Alice Cooper. Offhand, I don't know that one. I hope to look it up.

Rather Halloween-ish, maybe - - my two favorite Alice Cooper albums are "Killer" and "Alice Cooper Goes to Hell."

I started to watch the official music video (with Vincent Price and Cooper talking at the beginning) and I want to be more alert to watch the entire 7:40 video and listen. I will be back!

Cold Ethyl by Alice Cooper. What's creepier than necrophilia?

I'm with you about Kid Rock. Zevon's estate should have sued his a$$ off.

I could repeat what I just wrote to Nanoose - - don't know that one. And I like Alice Cooper's 'Killer" and "Alice Cooper Goes to Hell" albums.  :)

Glad to hear someone else is with me on the Kid Rock song.  :)

    Thanks for your answer!

I looked it up and just listened. I like when he "shivers" with his voice in the last 30-or-so seconds of the song.

Not really the music that I enjoyed about Halloween, but at the Halloween day I would enjoy passing out candies to many kids who came or would come at the door-looking at many other Halloween outfits, view other kinds of costumes & candy bags as I put-out candies (to each kids).
If it’s music, then probably kinds of scary music-maybe on a record player.

Yeah, your Halloween memories are probably like a lot of ours out here.  :)

I like a lot of scary music. I collect movie music scores/soundtracks. Jerry Goldsmith's music for the original "The Omen" is some of the most frightening but excellent music I've ever heard.  :)

    Yeah :)
And about passing out candies too,
Do You think it‘s maybe kind of fun to pass-out candies to the kids at the door-if You did? :)

I would pass out more Halloween candies, just that if darn vivid 19 wiped off the two recent Halloween days, & what will you think-‘What’s your suggestion to this?’ This post was edited by DannyPetti at November 14, 2021 6:41 PM MST

Great video but I don't really like the song itself so much. ha!  :)  But I'm glad you do and the video makes up for the song for me.  :) and I do see the song's quality  --

I just get hung up on:

To me, he seems to say "This is Triller" instead of "ThRiller"

I joke with myself that instead of "This Is Thriller," it sounds like he is singing "Phyllis Diller."

My favorite part of the song is Vincent Price's laugh at the very end.  And those living dead dancing -- SO great to me!  :)

Thanks for answering! I truly like to know people's answers to my questions.

Been up since 2:30am and it's now 8:40pm -- crap. Eating a late dinner soon.  :)
